Prison of Memories

A novel about Fatima, who leaves prison carrying the weight of pain and tries to reclaim her life and rights in a society that does not forget easily.

Prison of Memories book cover

The prison door may open, while memory keeps its own doors closed.

The story begins as Fatima leaves prison without a home or support, still pursued by the effects of the experience and by society’s judgement. The novel does not stop at the moment of injustice; it follows what injustice does to a person after the sentence has officially ended.

Confronting a harsh reality, Fatima draws on her intelligence and strength to reclaim what was taken from her. Her journey asks whether punishment ends with the sentence, or whether memory and society continue to construct another prison.
